How To Animate Walking In Toon Boom

Chapter xviii: How to Animate Objects and the Camera

When it comes to animating objects, you will do this on layers past creating move paths. You can also animate the photographic camera which is just similar any other object you can breathing.

Animating a Layer

You can create a movement path straight on layers (animated layers).

Yous tin can control and ascertain a trajectory using several different parameters, including:

10, Y and Z positions (3D Path or Separate Positions)
Angle (rotation)
Skew
Ten and Y Scales

Each parameter has its own function curve where you can add keyframes and control the easing. If y'all're not familiar with graphs and part curves, these are like shooting fish in a barrel-to-use tools for visually controlling trajectories in the Camera and Timeline views.

Animative the Camera

The camera is treated the same way every bit any other element. You lot can use the same tools and pick modes to offset or animate information technology, but the camera is a static object. To breathing the camera, you need to connect it to a peg layer. A peg is a trajectory layer.

While making camera moves, you can employ the Meridian, Side, and Camera views.
